Reportedly the Ligiers don't have as much get-up-and-go on the straights, thus why the DPs ran away from the pack last year. Reportedly IMSA made a bunch of BOP changes this year and it's supposed to be closer. The DPs were mostly in front at the Roar but it's apparently closer overall. More BOP changes were supposed to be developed from the Roar.

It's actually very close as-is. The Ligiers and DPs were pretty much on par.
Look up the results from the 8 aessions from the Roar on www.imsa.com
The Deltawing even was competitive but the Mazda and HPD ARX04b are still about 3 seconds off the pace. At least for the Mazda, it is a massive amount of gain over last year
